Dr Charlston is a Psychiatry with continuous psychiatric training since 2017 across inpatient and community mental health services. Dr Charlston has worked across adult, child and youth, older persons and addiction psychiatry, including consultation liaison, outreach and alcohol and drug services. This experience includes exposure to acute inpatient care, community-based management and multidisciplinary team environments within tertiary hospital settings. 

Dr Charlston has developed experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of a broad range of psychiatric conditions across diverse patient populations, including complex and comorbid presentations. Dr Charlston’s clinical work includes collaboration with medical, nursing and allied health teams to support comprehensive patient care and discharge planning. He has particular interests in general adult psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, with a focus on holistic, patient-centred care and the management of complex psychiatric presentations.
