Dr Pietro Di Ciaccio is a clinical and laboratory haematologist with expertise across malignant, non-malignant and obstetric haematology, with a particular focus on lymphoma. He completed specialist haematology training at Liverpool and Westmead Hospitals before undertaking a postgraduate lymphoma fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital, where he developed expertise in cellular therapies, clinical trials and quality improvement.
An active researcher, Dr Di Ciaccio is involved in the Lymphoma and Transplantation/Cell Therapies working parties of the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group and is a member of several professional organisations, including HSANZ, the Australasian Lymphoma Alliance, ASH and ASCO. His research centres on high-grade lymphomas, lymphoma in immunosuppressed and pregnant patients, and optimal haematology care during the COVID-19 pandemic. He maintains ongoing involvement in multicentre and multinational studies, clinical trials and the development of cellular and novel bispecific therapies.
