Dr Niall Jones is a consultant paediatric surgeon with over two decades of clinical experience across Australia, the UK, Ireland, and the Middle East. He specialises in minimally invasive surgery in children, with a clinical focus that includes neonatal surgery, paediatric urology, gastrointestinal surgery, and the management of complex congenital anomalies. He holds consultant appointments in both public and private sectors, including his current position at King Fahad Military Medical Complex in Saudi Arabia.
Dr Jones has held academic appointments at Queen Mary University of London, the University of Tasmania, Mohammed Bin Rashid University, and Khalifa University, where he is currently Adjunct Clinical Professor of Surgery. He is actively involved in research, teaching, and surgical education, and is currently completing further postgraduate study in medical law and ethics.
Dr Jones has led clinical governance initiatives including infection control, surgical safety, and guideline development. He has published widely on topics including adolescent bariatric surgery, paediatric hernia repair, and surgical quality improvement, and is a frequent presenter at international surgical conferences.
