Dr Jian Cheng is a specialist Nephrologist and General Physician with expertise in renal medicine. His clinical interests include renal supportive care, kidney disease during pregnancy and chronic kidney disease. He has extensive experience in medicolegal matters related to nephrology and general medicine and is an accredited permanent impairment assessor across multiple jurisdictions.
Dr Cheng serves as Senior Lecturer at the Sydney Medical School (University of Sydney), contributing to curriculum design and medical education. Dr Cheng has held clinical and academic leadership roles, including Co-Director of General Medicine at Orange Base Hospital. He is currently based at Northern Beaches Hospital and consults privately through Northern Beaches Nephrology.
Alongside his clinical and academic practice, he is the creator of The Kidney Literacy Centre, an educational website designed to support and inform Australian patients living with kidney disease.
