Dr James Cowlishaw is an accomplished gastroenterologist with over four decades of experience in both public and private healthcare settings. His clinical expertise includes advanced endoscopy, the management of complex gastrointestinal conditions, and a distinguished career in teaching and research.
Dr Cowlishaw’s career has spanned national and international institutions, contributing significantly to gastroenterology through his clinical practice, academic roles, and numerous publications. His leadership and commitment to excellence have earned him recognition in the fields of hepatology, endoscopy, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Recently retired from clinical practice, Dr Cowlishaw was awarded Life Membership by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and continues to hold an honorary consultant position at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
