Dr Mehta is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in lower limb deformity correction and foot and ankle reconstruction. He currently practises as a Visiting Medical Officer in Orthopaedic Surgery at Lismore Base Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Lismore and John Flynn Private Hospital, with clinical interests spanning orthopaedic trauma, lower limb surgery and complex foot and ankle conditions.

Dr Mehta is accredited to undertake independent medical examinations and permanent impairment assessment under the NSW SIRA Motor Accident and Workers Compensation schemes (AMA 4 and 5), and under the Queensland Guidelines for Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, across core, upper and lower extremity modules. He is also actively involved in orthopaedic teaching and research, with publications and presentations in foot and ankle surgery, trauma and surgical anatomy.
