Dr Yelland is a Geriatrician and General Physician in full time public hospital practice and is the Medical Director of the Medicine Service Line at Redcliffe Hospital. She has over 30 years’ experience in clinical medicine, including Memory Clinics, Acute Care and Rehabilitation of Older patients, orthogeriatrics and general medicine. In her role as Medical Director, she has extensive experience in medical administration and safety and quality issues.  

Dr Yelland has provided reports on Testamentary Capacity, reports for AHPRA, and on cognitive impairment questions for private legal firms.  

Qualifications and Fellowships 

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, (Second Class Honours) University of Queensland 1981 
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, 1989 
  • Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management, QUT 2004. 
  • Graduate, Australian Institute of Company Directors, 2016
