Dr Wenck is a General Practitioner with over 40 years of experience in clinical practice, health system leadership and medical governance. Dr Wenck has worked extensively across general practice, aged care, paediatrics and counselling, with a longstanding focus on coordinated care for patients with complex and chronic conditions. Dr Wenck has held senior leadership roles within major medical organisations, including as President of the Australian Medical Association Queensland and Brisbane North Division of General Practice, contributing to health system reform, service delivery models and policy development.
Dr Wenck’s work includes clinical general practice, advisory roles to government and health organisations, and leadership in medical indemnity, patient safety and quality improvement. Dr Wenck has been involved in the design and implementation of coordinated care programs, health system evaluation and primary care reform initiatives, with experience in governance, medico-legal risk management and strategic health planning. She was awarded the Rose Hunt Medal in in 2012 for her substantial and significant contribution to general practice.
