Assoc. Prof. Lynham is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with more than 25 years of specialist experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, trauma management and reconstructive surgery. He has extensive clinical experience in the assessment and management of complex facial trauma, dento-alveolar surgery, reconstructive surgery and oro-facial pathology, with longstanding appointments in tertiary public hospitals and private specialist practice. 

Assoc. Prof. Lynham has held senior leadership positions in clinical governance, surgical education and health system oversight. Formerly Head Examiner in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for Australia & NZ, Assoc. Prof. Lynham continues to contribute to surgical quality improvement with the Queensland Audit of Surgical Mortality, the Jamieson Trauma Institute and the Professional Services Review for the MBS. Assoc. Prof. Lynham has particular interests in maxillofacial trauma, reconstructive surgery, trauma systems and healthcare regulation.
