Associate Professor Anthony Cross is a specialist Emergency Physician and Intensivist with extensive clinical, leadership and governance experience. Assoc Prof Cross is Director of Intensive Care at Northern Hospital and an Associate Professor in the Department of Critical Care at the University of Melbourne. Assoc Prof Cross has provided medicolegal expert opinions and reports since 2011 and has served as a Consultant Physician to the Coroners Court of Victoria since 2016, critically reviewing clinical cases and making recommendations on prevention and system improvement. Assoc Prof Cross has also served on the Victorian Board of the Medical Board of Australia and completed a medicolegal sabbatical with the Victorian Managed Insurance Agency, alongside postgraduate studies in health and medical law.
