Professor Kohan is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon with a distinguished background in hip and knee reconstruction, including pioneering work in minimally invasive joint replacement and hip resurfacing. He holds a PhD in Science, focusing on finite element analysis and radiological correlates in hip arthroplasty, and he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the fields of orthopaedics and biomaterials research.
He maintains a strong commitment to education and clinical leadership, having served as a visiting professor, course convenor and lecturer for various universities and surgical societies. Professor Kohan is known for advancing surgical techniques that promote early mobilisation and improved pain management, and he regularly presents at national and international conferences.
